The best of Brown

Whether it was with the Bucks or during his pair of assignments with the Wisconsin Herd, Brown showcased his versatile capabilities on both ends of the floor.

Being the incredibly proficient three-point shooter he was during his four years with the Mustangs, Brown reasonably adjusted to shooting beyond the NBA three-point line as he finished the year hitting 35.2 percent from downtown on 1.7 three-point attempts per game.

It was on the defensive end, though, where Brown really shined during his rookie year, especially with the Bucks.

Brown gave the Bucks a well-needed edge on that side of the floor with his savvy, smothering stylings when it came to guarding his individual assignment as well as providing helpful team-based defending in terms of trying to make the Bucks’ well worn defensive scheme click.

Small sample size alert, but the numbers back that up as Brown recorded a defensive rating of 103.7 points per 100 possessions in the 776 minutes he was on the floor, per NBA.com/stats. In the 3150 minutes without Brown, the Bucks allowed 108 points per 100 possessions.

Along with that, Brown was a boon in tracking back and attacking the glass as he tallied down a 17.5 defensive rebounding percentage for the season.
