Game of the season

While the Bucks’ 128-125 overtime loss to the Denver Nuggets on April 1 may stand as one of their more memorable games this year for the frustrating collapse they suffered, Parker’s outing that night was by far and away the most magnificent performance in his compressed campaign individually.

Playing just over 39 minutes of action, Parker finished with 35 points on 14-of-23 shooting from the field (5-for-8 from three), 10 rebounds, two assists as well as two steals, one turnover and was a -9 on the night.

With the Bucks looking to finish off their late season West Coast swing on a high note, Parker rose to the occasion in his super-sub role off the bench, considering both Khris Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo struggled greatly throughout the night (if you remember, Antetokounmpo was also ejected for picking up a technical foul after fouling out before the end of regulation).

Between knocking down a career-high amount of three-point makes and shaking and slashing his way to the rim for powerful jams, Parker fueled the Bucks throughout his shifts on the night and left him one point off of logging a career best scoring performance.

Unfortunately, Parker’s postgame comments and run of form after that tilt set the tone for the rather strange end to his season, but his play that night still served as a reminder that he’s capable of some strong scoring outbursts from time to time.
