The best of Plumlee

Built in the vein of a more traditional center, Plumlee’ strong suits lie in the intangibles he’s well suited to utilizing to his advantage at this point in his development.

That shows up in his ability to battle on the boards, considering he corralled 8.2 total rebounds over his 13 appearances with the Herd. Delving deeper into why that was so, Plumlee’s hustle and propensity to crash the offensive glass was a boon for the Herd and his individual offense as he logged a 14.6 offensive rebounding percentage, per the G League’s stats database.

Even in his rare cameos with the Bucks, Plumlee made his presence known on the boards, only this time coming on the defensive end where he registered a 29.2 defensive rebounding percentage in his 52 minutes with the parent club this year.

Secondly, while his scoring range lies primarily at or around the basket, we saw Plumlee masterfully garner the benefit of the doubt from officials and subsequently get sent to the free throw line.

Plumlee recorded a whopping 69.7 percent free throw rate and converted 67.6 percent of his 5.2 free throw attempts per game. which made up nearly a third of his total points scored with the Herd this season.
