Game of the season

On a night that was more memorable for Brandon Jennings‘ return back to the Bucks organization and the state of Wisconsin as a whole, Plumlee put in the strongest performance of his three-and-a-half months with the organization in the Herd’s 128-110 loss to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants back on February 21.

Playing 29 minutes of action, Plumlee put up 22 points on a perfect 9-for-9 from the field (4-of-6 from the foul line), nine rebounds, three blocks, two turnovers, an assist as well as a steal and was a -1 on the night.

Matching his G League career scoring high, the former Blue Devil capitalized on all of his scoring chances on the offensive end, whether that was off of second chance opportunities, well executed rolls to the rim or converting attempts from the charity stripe.

Switching sides, Plumlee was particularly impactful on this night as he picked the ball cleanly from Mad Ants forward Ben Moore early on in the night and regularly blocked or altered shots protecting the basket.

While the Herd’s disappointing second half collapse had long been set in motion before they picked up play again after the All-Star break, Plumlee made the most of his opportunities on this night in spite of the result.
