Strengths

With his impressive combination of size (6’5″, 195 lbs.), length (6’9″ wingspan) and high level athleticism, Brown is a physical and athletic specimen for a player of his position.

Tying that together with his bulldog-like mentality and his near-insatiable drive, the 21-year-old has the makings to be a terror defensively on the NBA level as he is capable of guarding both backcourt positions and even small forwards on occasion.

That same mindset shows in Brown’s proclivity to crash the glass on the defensive end, considering he recorded a 17.1 defensive rebounding percentage over the course of his two seasons with the Hurricanes.

Switching over to the offensive side, Brown is a capable secondary playmaker and improved on his assist total year-over-year while in Miami (3.2 assists per game in his freshman season, 4 assists per game in his sophomore year).

With that said, it should be noted that he tallied a 1.65 assist-to-turnover ratio over both seasons, but on the whole, Brown is a solid decision maker who can handle pick and roll situations for limited stretches at this stage in his development.
