NBA Draft 2018 Prospect Watch: Jerome Robinson
Weaknesses
For his array of offensive capabilities, Robinson stands as a work in progress when it comes to the defensive end.
Despite possessing great size (6’5″) and solid length (6’7″ wingspan) which theoretically make him capable of defending both backcourt positions on paper, Robinson’s engagement on that end of the floor comes and goes, though one can only wonder how much of his workload played a factor into that while at Boston College.
Additionally, Robinson could stand to add some strength to his frame as he weighed in at 188 lbs. at this year’s NBA Draft Combine, per NBA.com/stats.
Lastly, there’s some question over how Robinson’s game will translate against NBA caliber players. That more or less relates to his ability to separate against next level defenders and/or withstand the physicality of big men who specialize in protecting the rim from solid to elite levels.
