Milwaukee Bucks: 5 realistic options that may be taken 17th overall
Jerome Robinson
Having been one of the biggest risers in the draft the last couple of weeks, there’s been a lot to suggest that Jerome Robinson may be in play at 17 for the Bucks.
The former Eagle has reportedly helped himself in a significant way all throughout the pre-draft process with strong workouts and interviews that have lodged him within the mid-first round discussion after being viewed as an early second rounder at the time of the combine.
The fact that Robinson is also coming off an incredibly productive junior season at Chestnut Hill where he averaged 20.7 points per game on shooting splits of .485/.409/.830 has raised the likelihood that he may be able to contribute upon making the jump to the NBA.
But as versatile and strong of a scorer he projects to be offensively, Robinson’s defensive stylings and overall instincts are nowhere near on par to that end of the floor. The North Carolina’s age (21 years old) also raises brings up the concern over his overall ceiling as a prospect as well.
Nonetheless, Robinson has greatly benefited the deeper the draft process has gone on and is due to realize his NBA dream, with that potentially ending up being in Milwaukee.
