Devin Harris
Considering Devin Harris was drafted way back in 2004 and has suited up for multiple teams at this point in his career, it’s somewhat remarkable that the Milwaukee native and former Wisconsin Badger has never played for the Bucks.
At 35 years old, Harris is certainly into the twilight of his NBA career, yet as a veteran playmaker with a high IQ, he continues to earn meaningful minutes around the league.
Between recent stints in Dallas and Denver, Harris has shown himself to be an ideal steadying presence for young up-and-coming teams in need of an experienced leader who understands the rigors and ups and downs of the 82-game season.
Considering Milwaukee’s injury problems last season, Harris is exactly the kind of player who could have helped the Bucks in that campaign, although the need to sign a player of his ilk may be less apparent this year.
The addition of Donte DiVincenzo further crowds up the Bucks’ backcourt picture, meaning that without a trade to move Matthew Dellavedova or Eric Bledsoe, another guard may be superfluous. Still, if given the chance, it seems like a guarantee that Harris will produce and that may be more than can be said for some of those currently holding roster spots in Milwaukee.
