NBA Free Agency: Is three-point specialist Anthony Tolliver attainable for the Bucks?

Weaknesses

As is the case with any shooting specialist like Tolliver, there will be some level of concern that his effectiveness knocking down shots will regress to the mean wherever he lands.

That worry may be more heightened since he’s coming off a sterling shooting campaign this season, which could very well influence the salary figure and length of the contract he lands this summer.

On that last point, however, Tolliver’s age may outweigh any desired deal he’s looking for at this stage in his career, at least in the eyes of NBA teams and front offices. With that said, there’s no durability issues surrounding Tolliver, especially as he logged the most minutes this year (1757) of any season since he’s carved out his place in the league.

Like we touched on when going over his defensive capabilities, Tolliver’s athletic limitations looms large over his game and prevents him from being a more impactful defender, more specifically.

Lastly, while Tolliver is capable of setting up scoring opportunities by moving the ball selflessly, you’ll be hard pressed to see him play an active part in creating or initiating plays or stepping outside his comfort zone as a complimentary option.
