T.J. Cline

Coming off his Israeli Cup winning season as a member of Hapoel Holon, T.J. Cline is suiting up for the Bucks throughout this year’s Summer League.

Cline comes from a strong family pedigree as he is the son of barrier-breaking current Sacramento Kings assistant coach Nancy Lieberman, who became the first woman to be a head coach of a men’s professional basketball team in the U.S. when she coached the Texas Legends back in 2009.

Before playing overseas for his first professional season this year with both Galatasaray as well as Hapoel Holon, Cline spent his freshman year at Niagara University before transferring to Richmond University for his final three season of college eligibility.

It was upon joining the Spiders that Cline really transformed his game, primarily as a highly efficient scorer. That culminated in the Plano native’s senior season where he averaged 18.5 points per game on shooting splits of .517/.316/.687, along with 7.8 rebounds per game and 5.6 assists per game.

As a result of all that, Cline earned Atlantic 10 Player of the Year honors and was named to First Team All-Atlantic 10 as well as an honorable mention All-American.
