JeQuan Lewis

The second of two players that come from the Bucks’ G League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd, JeQuan Lewis will look to make his mark on Milwaukee’s Summer League squad this year.

This will be the second straight year that Lewis will represent the Bucks in Summer League as they were quick to sign the 23-year-old after last year’s NBA Draft after he completed his collegiate career at VCU.

Playing all but one game in the Herd’s expansion season last year, Lewis averaged 9.2 points per game on shooting splits of .452/.394/.850, along with 4.6 assists per game and 1.6 steals per game.

What Lewis may lack in positional size at the point guard spot, he makes up for with his blazing wheels, which he uses to his full advantage by routinely playing up tempo with the ball in his hands and looking to score in transition, in particular.

If he’s able to keep his troubling penchant for racking up turnovers (Lewis posted 2.8 turnovers per game with the Herd last season), translate his shooting prowess and display his pest-like qualities defensively in Vegas, Lewis may end up being a surprising standout when it’s all said and done.
