A look at Sterling and D.J.’s nights

For the second straight game, the Bucks were without their lone pick from this year’s draft in Donte DiVincenzo, who continues to work his way back from picking up a right groin strain.

That left us once again keeping a close eye on the performances of both Sterling Brown and D.J. Wilson as far as current Bucks players go on their roster. When it was all said and done, the results were more mixed than last time out for both Brown and Wilson.

Starting with Brown, the Illinois native tallied 14 points on 5-of-15 shooting from the field (2-of-7 from deep), seven rebounds, five turnovers, two assists as well as two blocks and was a -1 in his 26 minutes of play.

For much of the game, Brown showcased everything he’s flashed throughout his budding time in the league, whether that was taking an active part in playmaking duties, hitting shots from three-point land or supplying his brand of physical, no nonsense defense.

Unfortunately, Brown’s night unraveled significantly throughout the fourth quarter as he was unable to find the bottom of the net on multiple occassions despite shouldering a heavy load in hopes to lead the Bucks to a late victory.

As for Wilson, the former Michigan Wolverine posted seven points on 3-of-9 shooting from the field (1-for-3 from downtown), seven rebounds, four assists, two steals, a block and was a +9 in his 26 minutes on the floor.

Aside from moments of knocking down a couple of step back jumpers and crashing the glass on the defensive end, there wasn’t anything all that remarkable that stood out in Wilson’s performance throughout the night.
