Concerning takeaway

As we have alluded to throughout this recap so far, the Bucks’ sloppiness with the ball really managed to do them in in the long run last night.

On the night, the Bucks logged 17 turnovers while the Mavericks recorded 15 turnovers throughout the contest. A bunch of credit should rightly go the Mavericks’ way, as they managed to supply the right amount of pressure and anticipate the Bucks’ reads to throw them off their game as the night wore on.

Couple that with the Bucks’ second half shooting woes too and it was all a recipe for the result that ended up being minted once the final buzzer sounded.

Lastly, it was tough to see Christian Wood put in an underwhelming performance following his strong Bucks Summer League debut on Friday.

While he still managed to make an impact on the glass by pulling down double-digit rebounds, Wood significantly struggled to limit Mavericks big man Johnathan Motley and just looked a step slow on both ends of the floor throughout the night.
