Milwaukee Bucks Summer League Preview: July 14 vs Philadelphia 76ers
By Adam McGee
A surprise opponent
For those who were looking ahead at the Summer League bracket prior to the Bucks’ first round win over the San Antonio Spurs, it’s safe to say the Philadelphia 76ers weren’t the opponent that was expected.
The Sixers came through their pre-tournament games with a dismal record of 0-3, making them the lowest seeded team in the bracket for competitive games.
As a result, Philadelphia played the third-seeded Phoenix Suns in round one, the top-seeded team who weren’t granted a bye to the second round. In spite of coming up against high-caliber talent like Deandre Ayton, Mikal Bridges and Dragan Bender, the Sixers prevailed with an 88-86 victory to book their date with the Bucks.
Zhaire Smith will be the player likely to draw the most attention when the Sixers take to the court on Saturday, while Furkan Korkmaz, Demetrius Jackson and Jonah Bolden are all capable of offering game-winning contributions too.
