Searching for shooting consistency

While the Bucks have struggled with turnovers, a staple for almost every team at Summer League, it’s the team’s inconsistent and generally inefficient shooting that has arguably been the biggest factor in Milwaukee not having a better record than their current 2-2.

Only once in Milwaukee’s four games have they managed to shoot above 45 percent from the field, and in their last two outings against the Nuggets and Spurs they’ve been sliding much closer to 40 percent.

That hasn’t always coincided with three-point struggles, as evidenced by the Bucks’ 42.3 percent mark against the Spurs, but more often than not inaccuracy with the long-ball has combined with finishing issues around the basket to hold Milwaukee back.

Sterling Brown, one of the Bucks’ true standout performers across the duration of Summer League, is an excellent example of that as his average of 17.0 points per game is accompanied by him shooting just 43 percent from the field overall and his efficiency fluctuating significantly from game-to-game.

If the Bucks can find a steadier performance from the field on Saturday night, they’ll have a great chance to cruise to a comfortable victory.
