Relying on the regulars

Entering their second round matchup, the Bucks have the luxury of knowing their team has a core of players who have produced consistently throughout their stay in Las Vegas up until this point.

As he fights for an NBA future, Christian Wood has starred for the summer Bucks. On his return to Vegas, the former UNLV Runnin’ Rebel is leading Milwaukee with averages of 18.8 points and 10.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 53 percent from the field.

Brown is close behind him, averaging 17 points, six rebounds and two assists, while also diversifying his play in taking on responsibilities as a ball-handler and playmaker.

D.J. Wilson has also shown signs of welcome promise and improvement with 15.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.8 steals per game, while Travis Trice has come up with important and timely contributions, adding 9.3 points, 4.3 assists and 2.5 rebounds.

Those four players should provide the Bucks with a solid base of contributions, while there’s still room for a wildcard like Donte DiVincenzo to become a factor too. Based on their play so far, and the general struggles of their opponent, Milwaukee has every reason to feel confident of advancing.
