Lead the Bucks to 50 wins and a first round series win

Speaking of Milwaukee’s target of establishing themselves among the Eastern Conference and the NBA’s very best teams, that team goal will also act as a very important individual aim for Antetokounmpo.

Unlike almost all of his teammates, Antetokounmpo boasts a status that won’t afford him the ability to fall back into the pack behind cheap excuses. Put simply, Antetokounmpo will get the bulk of the credit for any Bucks’ success, but the cost attached to that is the disproportionate blame that comes with failure.

As a highly competitive individual, Antetokounmpo would need no extra motivation to help push his team to the highest possible seeding heading into the playoffs and to kick on with renewed vigor when the playoffs arrive, but it exists all the same.

Antetokounmpo’s reputation will only rise more rapidly if the Bucks are successful next season, and as a player who’s already immensely popular in the city of Milwaukee, his legacy would only grow even stronger if he could drive the Bucks to a consistent, winning season and a long overdue taste of playoff victory.

Giannis is the leader of this Bucks team, and it’s a role he’s been vocal about embracing. Now the next step is for him to be the driving force behind the team’s potential finally translating into something more tangible.
