October
Best games: vs Philadelphia 76ers (10/24), vs Toronto Raptors (10/29)
Obviously, the biggest game of October is the opening home game against the Indiana Pacers. It’s the first game in the new (and, oh so pretty) arena, it’s a Friday night, and it’s against a good team the Bucks will probably battle with for supremacy in the Central Division. That’s a lot of tasty ingredients.
But, because of all those reasons it also means it’s going to be a tough ticket and will cost you a pretty penny. My recommendation is waiting out the first game, there’ll be plenty more (40 more, to be exact) and going to a game later in October month for much less.
The Bucks host a couple of teams likely to be atop the Eastern Conference standings throughout the year, the 76ers and Raptors. The Raptors will be an especially intriguing team to see with the new addition of Kawhi Leonard. It’ll still be early in the season so everyone will be observing how Leonard adapts to playing in Toronto.
The 76ers, on the other hand, are on the rise and are looking to challenge the Boston Celtics for the top spot in the East. Plus, Ben Simmons is a freak of nature and Joel Embiid is always a treat. Milwaukee and Philadelphia should be duking it out in the Eastern Conference playoffs for the foreseeable future so this has the makings of a burgeoning rivalry.
