Milwaukee Bucks: Media Day roundup 2018-19 season
By Adam McGee
Khris Middleton
Middleton on his first impressions of Budenholzer and his approach:
"“Being in the gym this past month with the new coaching staff and Bud, they try to take care of their players, meaning they try to find the weaknesses in our games and try to make that better especially with drills and whatnot. But taking care of your body, the time we spend on the court and in the gym, he wants us to be in and out, get our work done and be off our feet.”"
Middleton on the notable differences between Budenholzer and the previous regime:
"“He has a schedule for us every day, which I like and appreciate. We’re 30 minutes on the court before and after practice, but he wants us to get our work in and find ways to fit our games into his new system, which I think is great.”"
Middleton on the prospect of taking the next step as a team:
"“We’ve been saying it for a couple of years that we’re ready to take that next step and win a playoff series, but it hasn’t happened yet. I’m excited for this year with the team that we have and a fresh start with a new coaching staff, and being in this great building. But we definitely have the pieces to do what we need to do, it’s just a matter of going on the court and actually doing it now.”"
