Giving a three-point boost

Of course, when Delly has been on the court, one of his main responsibilities has been spacing the floor around the Bucks’ cornerstones within their foundation.

Throughout his ongoing stint with the Bucks, Dellavedova has been a respectable contributor in that regard as he’s connected on 36.9 percent of his 293 three-point attempts over the last two seasons.

The bulk of Dellavedova’s damage from beyond the arc with the Bucks has come on a catch-and-shoot basis after making 37 percent of his 173 three-point attempts that way throughout the 2016-17 campaign and knocking down 25 of his 62 looks off the catch (40.3 percent) during his abbreviated season last year, per NBA.com/stats.

With a premium being placed on increasing the team’s overall three-point capabilities and more room to capitalize on such chances under new Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer, Dellavedova will have the opportunity to continue his effectiveness in that department.

Whether that possibility holds through during the season remains to be seen and it’s on Dellavedova to make that happen.
