Continue to hone finishing at the rim

Of the handful of improvements Brogdon has displayed in his young career since coming to Milwaukee, Brogdon’s attacking and finishing at the basket may shine the most.

Dinged for his relative lack of explosion coming out of college, Brogdon showed plenty of struggles in trying to capitalize on shots attempted at the rim when covered by opposing defenders or in traffic. It showed in his finishing percentages within range of the basket during his rookie year as he put home 153 of his 275 attempts from 0-3 feet (55.6 percent), per Basketball-Reference.com.

Needless to say, Brogdon’s proficiency throughout his abbreviated season last year grew leaps and bounds, considering he made 134 of his 202 attempts from that same range (66.3 percent).

Perhaps that experience he accrued and recognition of where his game stood following his first year was the catalyst in this regard, but Brogdon’s deft touch and improved probing of the paint led to a strong, poised scorer well within the heart of opposing defenses.

The combination of Brogdon’s off-ball expertise and a boost in high quality looks the Bucks will look to generate collectively under the new coaching staff could result in the third-year guard holding this level of production into the coming year.
