Providing a boost on the glass

There are a few words to describe Henson’s play throughout his time with the Bucks, but physicality is certainly not among them.

As a result of his lanky build for a player of his position, Henson’s ability to clean up on the boards has been a mixed bag. The more physical individual matchup Henson faces has only exacerbated the lack of strength or steel he can supply to keep opposing teams from reloading offensive possessions and subsequently earn second chance scoring opportunities.

The Bucks’ overall rebounding struggles throughout the last few years go beyond Henson obviously and time will only tell how much adding Lopez into the mix goes to turn around those struggles.

With a potential greater emphasis on team rebounding under Budenholzer, Henson’s individual production won’t have to carry the same weight under that baseline, should all that occur.

Of course, it would be great to see Henson be a useful contributor that helps turn the tide in some shape or form, but many Bucks fans would probably like to see that first before they believe it.
