Milwaukee Bucks: 5 goals for Eric Bledsoe in 2018-19 season
Shed careless turnovers
Of the handful of maddening traits Bledsoe has exhibited in his stay with the Bucks to this point, the indifference he can have at times in handling or distributing the ball tops the list.
That most notably shone through in the turnovers the 28-year-old registered during his first season with the Bucks last year, especially in transition.
Whether that spoke to the lack of focus Bledsoe’s play can be bogged down by or the lack of cohesion the Bucks themselves showcased throughout their inconsistent season, the conclusions that can be drawn from it by fans still doesn’t reflect well on Bledsoe as a player in the very least.
That drove Bledsoe to post an average assist-to-turnover ratio (1.71) on the year and nearly rack up three turnovers per game with the Bucks, which actually stood as an improvement on the high amount of turnovers he recorded during his four years and change with the Suns.
Based on the high-usage role he’ll likely play again this season, it’s wishful thinking to believe Bledsoe will be able to cut that festering element of his game out entirely. Therefore, if he can dial it back just a bit, that would be a major victory for all those involved.
