Ike Nwamu

A mainstay with the Sioux Falls Skyforce the last two seasons, swingman Ike Nwamu is due for a fresh start by joining the Herd for the 2018-19 G League season.

The Herd acquired Nwamu’s rights in early September at the end of his brief stay on the Bucks’ training camp roster.

Since going undrafted in the 2016 NBA Draft, the bulk of Nwamu’s professional career has been spent with the Skyforce where he averaged 11.8 points on shooting splits of 412/.355/.818, 3.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 94 total appearances with the affiliate. Along with that, Nwamu logged a brief stint with Lavrio B.C. in the Greek first division at the end of last season.

In addition to his club career, Nwamu has had the fortune of representing his native Nigeria on several occasions, most notably during the 2017 edition of Afrobasket where the D’Tigers came home with the silver medal. Nwamu also helped Nigeria qualify for the upcoming FIBA World Cup that will take place in China next summer.
