Michael Qualls

Entering his fourth season as a professional, Michael Qualls is yet another newcomer to the Herd to start the season. Qualls comes to Oshkosh after the Herd selected him in the fourth round of this year’s G League draft.

After declaring for the 2015 NBA Draft following his junior season, Qualls suffered a torn ACL during a draft workout with the Phoenix Suns that plummeted his chances of hearing his name called on that year’s draft night.

From there, the former Razorback briefly found a home with the Oklahoma City Thunder organization before being waived at the start of the 2015-16 season while rehabbing his injury. Several months later, Qualls returned back to action playing overseas in Israel for Hapoel Gilboa Galil for the 2016-17 campaign.

Despite the snakebitten start he endured getting his professional career off the ground, Qualls does have some G League experience under his belt after bouncing around between playing for both the Salt Lake City Stars and the Texas Legends last year.
