Giannis is upon us

Not to be outdone by the Bucks’ three-point explosion Sunday afternoon, superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo put on a clinic all throughout yesterday’s win over the Kings.

Playing just over 30 minutes of action, Antetokounmpo logged his second triple-double of the season by putting up 26 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field (1-of-2 from three, 9-of-12 from the line), 15 rebounds, 11 assists, five turnovers, one block as well as one steal and was a +39 for the day.

The Greek phenom’s play never looked so effortless during the young season as it did Sunday afternoon when Antetokounmpo strided and glided his way past many of the Kings’ young and athletic frontcourt players en route to the basket.

Of course, he laid down an incredible amount of wrath on the rim by throwing down a pair of classic hammers that already stand high in the 23-year-old’s endless catalog of highlight-worthy dunks. His poster on Kings center Kosta Koufos during the third quarter was a particularly brutal piece of Greek-on-Greek crime.

With all the speculation over how extreme Antetokounmpo’s play has been on both ends of the spectrum to start this season, we have mounting evidence that the two-time All-Star is looking more and more comfortable under the team’s new system and his efficient play has once again resumed to everyone’s benefit.
