The Alpha among Alphas

In a game that featured NBA champions and past Most Valuable Players in Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant, it was Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo who came off as the singular star everyone was talking about for the right reasons in the Bucks’ win over the Warriors.

Playing close to 26-and-a-half minutes, Antetokounmpo finished with 24 points on 7-of-16 shooting from the field (0-of-2 from three, 10-for-11 from the charity stripe), nine rebounds, four assists, two steals, two blocks as well as two turnovers and was a +15 on the night.

Although his many trips to the free throw line ended up bolstering his scoring on the night, which came as an overdue sight for many Bucks fans, Antetokounmpo regularly steamrolled his many opposing defenders that were standing in his way to the rim.

Adding in solid feeds in terms of his distribution, his activity on the glass and highlight-worthy blocks, including one on an unsuspecting Durant, Antetokounmpo’s play was simply well-rounded in all regards.

Foul trouble ended up forcing Antetokounmpo’s night to come to an early unofficial end, but with the final result being taken care of by his teammates in the last several minutes on the night, it left the 23-year-old in good spirits with the role reversal.
