Milwaukee Bucks: Ranking the 10 best jerseys in franchise history
9. Red throwback alternate (2008 – 2012)
Did I truly love these in 2008, or did I simply love the idea of them?
It was the first Bucks alternate uniform in over a decade, as marketing and apparel revenue wasn’t the highest priority of Herb Kohl despite ownership of a Fortune 500 retail department store chain.
This alternate shares an almost identical design to the 1971 NBA Championship road jerseys, just with the green and red flip-flopped. In 2008, it was the best of a bad uniform situation, and many wanted it to be made permanent.
With red since having been removed from the team’s color palette, it seems unlikely that a similar uniform will come back around any time soon, but they could certainly do much worse.
