Milwaukee Bucks: Ranking the 10 best jerseys in franchise history
8. The early purples (Road 1993 – 2002)
Purple was riding high in the early 90s, and Mike Dunleavy and the Bucks jumped on the fashion trend.
Purple, silver, and green together in the right ratio can surely pop, and the muscular and mean 8-point buck primary logo was admittedly awesome branding at the time.
Despite mass confusion as to where purple fits within either deer or Milwaukee, somehow we all still bought in. Once the thick green side stripes extending from knee to armpit were added in 2002, these took a slight step back.
Still, as we’ll again return to later in this list, there’s something about green and purple that against all convention worked for the Bucks, and it remains the hope of many fans that a jersey in that color scheme could return in the future.
