Yanking that turnover chain

The one standout blemish in the Bucks’ win over the Celtics Friday night was the turnover disparity between the two teams.

On the night, the Bucks’ turnover count came in at 21 miscues, which unsurprisingly matches their single game season-high this year. By comparison, the Celtics only registered five turnovers, which as Bucks blogfather Frank Madden noted following the completion of the game was the fewest for a Bucks opponent so far this year.

Of course, the Bucks’ turnovers went beyond just being off target passes as they registered multiple offensive fouls throughout the contest, including three straight charge calls during their dismal start.

But as the game wore on, it’s safe to say that the Bucks got a little lax in their passes, which got the Celtics going on the break and boosted what was a rather abysmal shooting performance collectively (38.5 percent shooting from the field and 10-of-34 from three).

The Bucks have certainly improved upon their turnover prone ways from early on in the season, but it would be discouraging to see nights like last night continue from here on out and form a troubling pattern once again.

The Bucks will hit a quick flight down to South Beach to take on the Miami Heat Saturday night for a 7p.m. central time tip at the American Airlines Arena.
