Milwaukee Bucks: 3 things to watch for as New York Knicks visit Fiserv Forum

Time to snap out of it
Half-way through November, essentially at the one-month mark of the season, the Bucks stood out as not just an elite three-point shooting team in terms of volume, but also in regard of efficiency. Shooting 36.9 percent from deep as of November 15, the Bucks ranked fifth in the NBA.
As the switch to the start of a new calendar year approaches, the stats now tell a very different story about Milwaukee’s efficiency from long-range, though.
The Bucks have slipped all the way to 21st with a three-point percentage of 34.4 for the season overall, and for the month of December, they are rooted firmly to the bottom of the NBA at just 31.9 percent from beyond the arc.
Of course, the volume of three-pointers the Bucks attempt quickly explains just how they can slide so quickly down the standings, as a shooting slump will hit them harder than almost any other team in the NBA.
The truth is the Bucks have far too many strong shooters to stay in such a downward spiral, though. Sooner or later the Bucks have to snap out of it, and following a 6-of-32 performance last time out against the Knicks, and a run of 17 straight three-point misses in that game, it will likely be among Milwaukee’s top priorities on Thursday.
