By Adam McGee
With bracket mania at its peak for basketball fans around the country, it’s time to introduce Ultimate Bucks Bracket 2019, Behind the Buck Pass’ own Milwaukee Bucks-themed tournament.
It’s March, and with the Milwaukee Bucks chasing down 60 wins and home-court advantage throughout the playoffs, it’s safe to say it’s an exciting time for basketball fans in Wisconsin.
Of course, in March more than any other month, the NBA isn’t the only basketball competition that captures the collective imagination.

With NCAA March Madness set to get underway, the unpredictability of the most famous college tournament will have many glued to their screens over the coming weeks, and a major part of that excitement comes in filling out your brackets and trying to pick a winner.
This year, we want to get in on that action with our own Bucks variation of those festivities here at Behind the Buck Pass.
Over the next three weeks or so, we’re giving Bucks fans the chance to crown their Ultimate Buck by way of a 32-man bracket made up of great Milwaukee players, past and present!
What makes for the Ultimate Buck? Part of the fun of this is that idea is largely subjective. As a rough guide, you could consider individual production as a Buck, team success during their tenure, impact beyond the box score, and loyalty to the franchise and city as just some of the determining factors.
Our own selection committee (comprising of myself, Robby Cowles and Jordan Treske) have already seeded the players we have chosen to make the cut from 1-32, divided them up into four regions named after a handful of notable Bucks uniform colors, and now we’re all set to pass the responsibility over to you, the voters.
The process couldn’t be any more simple. Starting with the first round, which will get underway on Thursday, the matchups will be put to a vote via polls on our Twitter and Facebook pages. After 24 hours, the combined votes will be tallied and the winner will advance to the next round.
Along with sharing the results on those same social channels, we’ll keep a track of the bracket throughout the tournament with roundups in our Milwaukee Bucks Daily article, while more comprehensive breakdowns will also be posted separately at the end of each round.
To complement all of that, you can also expect related articles on some of the players involved in the bracket, as this offers a natural opportunity for us to contemplate and compare the legacies of various key players in Bucks history.
So, without further ado, it seems like the time is right to unveil the participants in our Ultimate Bucks Bracket, and the first round matchups you can look forward to voting on.
