Milwaukee Bucks: 3 takeaways from 127-105 win over Cleveland Cavaliers
King of the Hill
For the second straight game, Bucks veteran guard George Hill supplied quite a scoring punch off the bench in the team’s win over the Cavs Sunday afternoon.
Playing just over 21 minutes of action, Hill finished with 17 points on 7-of-8 shooting from the field (1-of-2 from three, 2-of-2 from the foul line), two rebounds, one assist and was a +7 on the afternoon.
Hill got to work attacking the basket and was especially strong in turning the corner around opposing defenders to get some daylight in order to put down athletic finishes at the cup. That, and the combination of his solid pull up game as well putting down a triple, led to the IUPUI alum tallying a new scoring high since joining the Bucks in early December.
In light of the injuries the Bucks have experienced lately, Malcolm Brogdon being the most significant of the bunch, Hill taking on a more assertive role when it comes to looking for his own shot in order to fuel the team’s offense would do wonders for a team needing an additional penetrator on the regular in light of Brogdon’s absence.
