Milwaukee Bucks: Revisiting bold preseason predictions
By Robby Cowles
Matthew Dellavedova
Preseason prediction: Will be ejected in multiple games
Verdict: Sadly, incorrect
Admittedly, this is a pretty weird prediction to make, but at the time there wasn’t much to think with Delly.
Pretty much everyone saw that Delly would see less playing time, so my thought process was that the notoriously rough Aussie would try to get as much out of every minute of his playing time by transitioning into an enforcer’s role.
Unfortunately, Delly didn’t really play enough to even get his shots in, appearing in only 12 games at eight minutes per game before the Bucks traded him early in the season on December 7.
Once again, I just want to take this moment to praise Horst for getting out from under Delly’s contact, but it’s also nice that Delly got to make a hero’s return to Cleveland.
Delly’s time in Milwaukee wasn’t very long or that successful, but it was at least memorable. Delly, speaking for Bucks fans everywhere, we will remember you.
Good on ya, mate.
