Bucks 124, Raptors 109 – Oct. 29, Fiserv Forum

It was a battle of the last two remaining undefeated teams when the Bucks and the Raptors first met against one another back on October 29.

As highly anticipated as the contest was heading into it, especially for an early season game at that, it lacked significant star power as each team’s headlining superstars, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kawhi Leonard, were both sidelined with concussion symptoms and load management, respectively.

But the Bucks had no fear without their north star, so to speak, given that they dismantled the Raptors 124-109 to keep up their unbeaten streak to start the season.

It was an incredibly well-balanced effort on Milwaukee’s part as they had seven players score in double figures and were led by veteran Ersan Ilyasova of all people, who finished with a season-high 19 points on 12 shots along with 10 rebounds in a spot start in place of Antetokounmpo.

Toronto, on the other hand, wer rudderless without their leading star as they put in one of the worst shooting performances of the year from both the field (37.9 percent on 103 field goal attempts) and from long range (20 percent on 45 tries).

With Milwaukee comfortably cruising to victory by holding control of the game for nearly 42-and-a-half minutes, it was certainly an outlier when compared to the subsequent meetings both teams had with one another, and considering the absences of both Antetokounmpo and Leonard.
