The worst of Brown

Despite his three-point proficiency still coming in at an adequate clip, Brown still has plenty of work to do in touching up on his shooting range.

There’s no disputing Brown has become a solid corner three specialist as 29 of his 53 total triples came from both corner spots. But the 24-year-old simply struggled to hit consistently from literally beyond the arc as he hit on just 18 of his 77 three-point attempts that came within 25-29 feet, which comes in at 23.4 percent.

While a more limited element of his game, Brown’s touch from the free throw line dipped from 87.5 percent on 24 attempts during his rookie year to 69 percent on 42 attempts this season.

Switching sides, Brown’s defensive edge can occasionally spill over into picking up needless fouls as he tallied 3.1 fouls per 36 minutes throughout his sophomore season.

Finally, a pair of injuries, the first being a hamstring injury from training camp and a sore wrist that held him out 13 straight games from late February into late March, limited Brown’s availability to just 58 appearances, all of which was still four more games than he appeared in the previous year.
