The best of Colson

Without a doubt, simply being able to log NBA minutes, however few they were (98 minutes to be exact), is something of a career landmark for Colson.

And considering this all started with the Fighting Irish alum going undrafted during last year’s draft and ending with him logging a pair of starts near the end of the season has to make the start to his NBA journey that much more gratifying.

Moving on to stuff on the court, Colson brandished his solid, deft finishing touch upon getting plenty of reps with the Herd as well as the Bucks. Colson finished 59.8 percent of his 92 attempts within the restricted area after joining the Herd, per the G League’s stats database.

Colson’s hustle on the offensive glass also helped in that regard as he was often able to convert second chance points after corralling the ball and he averaged 2.4 second chance points over his 23 appearances with Wisconsin.

And while Colson will surely have to improve on his shooting efficiency, his overall scoring proficiency translated to the G League setting as he averaged 14.3 points on .420/.288/.773 shooting splits with the Herd (14.9 points on .452/.335/.706 for the entire G League season).
