Weaknesses

There’s a reason why Bazley stands as one of the biggest wild cards in this draft and the concerns revolving around him are quite significant.

The biggest of them all is directly tied to his decision to sit out of competitive basketball this year as Bazley’s raw base of skills, feel for the game and overall inconsistencies were already a significant concern prior to all of this.

Of course, no draft prospect is a finished product upon entering the draft, but seeing how Bazley responds to being in action after such a lengthy layoff to playing in competitive games will be fascinating to watch, no matter where he lands.

Similarly, Bazley’s considerable lack of strength and overall physicality is a big issue and until he fills out his frame as he settles into his career, it will follow him both on the NBA and G League levels.

Whether Bazley can develop a consistent jumper is another hot topic in his development and while he did sport some promising signs while at the combine last month, he still has a long way to go in making that an effective tool in his arsenal of skills.
