Dylan Windler

After the Milwaukee Bucks were ultimately punished for failing to take enough of the open shots they created in the Eastern Conference Finals, they may well look to improve their shooting options via the draft. If that proves to be the case, Dylan Windler will almost certainly get a closer look.

In spite of 35 points and 11 rebounds in his sole NCAA tournament appearance, Windler likely remains a little more unheralded than some of his peers following his four-year stay with the Belmont Bruins. That shouldn’t leave the Bucks to underestimate Windler’s ability, though.

Simply shooting above 40 percent from three for the entirety of his college tenure, as Windler did, is enough to gain interest from NBA teams, but the 22-year-old’s game has more to it than just high-level shooting.

Windler possesses excellent size and physical tools at 6’7″ with a 6’10” wingspan, is athletic enough to explode to the rim for highlight dunks, has already demonstrated the basis of an above average defensive game, while he’s also an unselfish and hard-working player. In short, there’s a lot to like. Windler may not be receiving a whole lot of buzz, but the Bucks may well see him as a great option at No. 30.
