Seth Curry

There’s every chance that Seth Curry could end up well clear of Milwaukee’s price range when the time comes for the Bucks to fill out their roster. Shooting is at a premium in the NBA, Curry has a track record of being elite in that department, and there’s a lot of money to go around this summer.

Still, you can never quite be sure. Curry is undersized and has plenty of limitations in his game that have held him back both financially and in terms of role in recent seasons.

Any pursuit of Curry would certainly require the approximately $4.5 of the room exception to be offered by the Bucks, but perhaps the chance to join a team that will give him the green light from deep and guarantee him a deep playoff run could appeal to the 28-year-old.

The Bucks will be very eager to add as much shooting as they can around the fringes of their roster, particularly as creating quality looks in the Conference Finals proved no real problem, but failing to knock down enough of them ultimately cost Milwaukee.

As a career 43.9 percent three-point shooter, Curry would be a dream pickup in that regard and would make for an excellent fit with so much of what the Bucks look to do offensively.

Particularly in the kind of fluid and staggered lineups that Coach Bud looks to employ, Curry’s gravity in the second unit would be a major boost to help any starter that was tasked with leading that group over the course of the season.

It may well be a pipe dream, but the same could have been said about getting Brook Lopez for $3.4 million last summer. If the Bucks put themselves in the mix and make their case, who knows what might happen.
