Rondae Hollis-Jefferson

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson’s lack of shooting makes it tough to gauge his market, and also likely increases the possibility of him being available to teams like the Bucks at lower cost deals.

That same deficiency will make the 24-year-old a tougher perceived fit for a lot of teams, but it shouldn’t completely overshadow the positives that Hollis-Jefferson can offer in other areas across the floor.

Hollis-Jefferson is probably best utilized as a power forward at this point due to his lack of shooting, but part of the appeal in what he can offer is the positional versatility he naturally provides on the defensive end.

An increasingly strong frame allows Hollis-Jefferson to hold his own at the 4, but great lateral quickness and a 7’2″ wingspan also make him a terror covering smaller guards and wings.

Hollis-Jefferson still has plenty of room to grow on the offensive end, but his athleticism offers a base that he can leverage into points. Most notably, Hollis-Jefferson can get to the line frequently, where with the exception of a down year last season (64.5 percent), he’d always previously made upward of 70 percent of his freebies.

A deal to sign Hollis-Jefferson may not set the pulses of Bucks fans racing, but in time it could unlock a variety of deadly lineup options.
