Ed Davis

An immensely popular teammate who reliably lifts chemistry wherever he plays, while also possessing a tone-setting work ethic and an underrated all-around game, Ed Davis would be a great pickup for any NBA team this summer.

Having just recently turned 30, Davis has an extended track record of offering good teams reliable contributions in modest roles over the years. Davis is not a player whose contributions are likely to pop off of the box score, but he has a knack for making those around him better.

With great length and athleticism, Davis has posed a significant shot-blocking threat from the moment he came into the league as a rookie. His defense is about more than simply swatting shots, though, as Davis possesses the lateral quickness to slide over and offer great help while still closing off angles with his 7’0″ wingspan.

In that regard, Davis would make for a seamless fit in spot minutes with the Bucks.

The former Tar Heel’s contributions on the other end have always been more limited, but Davis will pick up points from catching lobs and being a willing rim runner.

In short, Davis is a highly accomplished role player and a true professional. If the Bucks can fill out their roster with players of his ilk, they’ll have plenty of reason to celebrate.
