Johnny Hamilton
Fresh off his first professional season, bouncy seven-foot big man Johnny Hamilton is set to partake in his second straight Summer League, this time playing with the Bucks.
Hamilton spent all of last season playing with the Grand Rapids Drive after being brought in on a training camp invite by their parent club, the Detroit Pistons, and previously going undrafted in last year’s NBA Draft.
While with the Drive, Hamilton proved to be an essential contributor behind their campaign and averaged 11.1 points on 57.6 percent shooting from the field (1-for-3 from deep), 8.6 rebounds, 2.4 blocks and 1.2 assists in his 49 appearances with the club.
Hamilton split his collegiate career by first attending Jacksonville College, a junior college in Texas, to transferring to Virginia Tech for an ill-fated stint. The 25-year-old wrapped his time in the amateur ranks at the University of Texas at Arlington for his senior campaign.
