Xavier Munford

A key cog in Jeff Gundy’s USA Basketball squads over their last two years of FIBA World Cup qualification, the Wisconsin Herd’s All-Time leading scorer, and a player with six Bucks games in the NBA to his name already, Xavier Munford is undoubtedly the most qualified player on the Bucks’ roster that doesn’t already hold some kind of roster spot.

Between Summer League, training camp, starring with the Herd, and spending time with the Bucks on a two-way late in the 2017-18 season, Munford has been close to an ever present around the Bucks’ organization over the past two seasons.

Having recently turned 27, Munford is now entering into his prime years, and has every reason to believe he can still become a rotation player in the NBA.

Those who’ve watched the Herd will be familiar with Munford’s well-rounded guard play, as he’s got a nice feel for playmaking, a scorer’s instinct, and the ability to knock down the long ball.

The Bucks may yet need to add another combo guard for cover behind Eric Bledsoe and George Hill, and Munford could be the obvious choice if he can solidify his credentials with a stellar Summer League showing.
