Honorable Mentions

George Hill – PEAK Monster

The current backup Milwaukee Bucks point guard has had an under the radar signature shoe deal with Chinese brand PEAK for many years now. His current shoe, the GH3 is marketed for quick cuts and appropriate for indoor and outdoor play. While Hill’s stay in Milwaukee has only been brief so far, although it’s set to extend with his new contract, his deal with PEAK and the 6 months Hill has already played for the Bucks certainly qualify him for this list.

Brandon Jennings – Under Armour Micro G Bloodline

Brandon Jennings is currently out of the league but for a time he was one of the hottest commodities in the NBA. In fact he entered the league as one of the faces of Under Armour, a title he would later lose to fellow 2009 draftee Steph Curry. In 2011, Jennings and Under Amour dropped the Micro G Bloodline, one of the hottest shoes to grace the brand and one in which Jennings thrived in. Since his fall from grace, he has lost his shoe deal with Under Armour and now sports Nike on the court.

Marques Johnson – Adidas Top 10

Back in the 70’s, Adidas wanted a shoe to be worn exclusively by their best players, so they made it happen. They designed the Adidas Top 10, with the name derived from just that, their top-10 players. The shoe was worn by Doug Collins, Kevin Grevey, Adrian Dantley, Bob Lanier, Bobby Jones, Billy Knight, Sidney Wicks, Mitch Kupchak, Kermit Washington and Milwaukee’s own Marques Johnson. The shoes would later go on to be a cult classic, with Johnson being at the forefront of its inception.
