4. Reebok Rail – Glenn Robinson
As the no. one overall pick in the 1994 NBA Draft, much was expected of Glenn Robinson, the junior small forward out of Purdue University. The Bucks signed Robinson to a record 10-year, $68 million deal that still stands today as the largest rookie contract in NBA history.
During his time in Milwaukee, he signed a shoe deal with Reebok who gave Robinson his very own signature shoe with the brand, The Reebok Rail. The original color scheme, which dropped in 1996 mirrored the Milwaukee Bucks colors for the time, as “Black, Extreme Purple and Darkest Olive”. The unique design featured a unique rail overlay with hexalite cushioning and a rubber sole.
Reebok released many other colorways of the Rail shoe, however none ever matched the initial Milwaukee Bucks design.
Reebok currently don’t sponsor any professional basketball players in North America, however, the Reebok Rail will live long in the memory of many Bucks fans as the shoe worn by Big Dog.
