Point Guard

Eric Bledsoe | George Hill

The Bucks may not yet be done in adding to their depth at point guard, but they can at least enter the season feeling confident in both their starting and backup floor generals.

Just a few months ago, there was potential for the situation to be much more pressing at this spot, but an extension for Eric Bledsoe, and George Hill’s re-signing have eased any of those concerns in the time since.

Although he most frequently played the 2 for the Bucks, losing Malcolm Brogdon does hurt the Bucks in terms of options at this position, considering his skill and poise as both a ball-handler and distributor.

Having said that, the Bucks have the luxury of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton being able to pick up those duties in bursts across the course of the season.

I’d expect the Bucks to add a third point guard at some point, although it may well be in-season if they opt to leave a roster spot open heading into the year.

In terms of key pieces at the position, though, the Bucks can feel confident in what they have in Bledsoe and Hill.
