Signing Kyle Korver and Dragan Bender

The Bucks’ final two signings to fully guaranteed NBA contracts were forward Kyle Korver and forward/center Dragan Bender. Each provides intrigue.

Kyle Korver has made a career out of being one of the best marksmen the NBA has ever seen. Though he’s now 38, Korver is still an excellent shooter from distance, and can provide a team with passable defense and rebounding. His ability to knock-down shots and space the floor is something the Bucks sorely needed to address this offseason. He should factor into Milwaukee’s best 8-10 man rotation this season.

Dragan Bender hasn’t lived up to the promise that made him the fourth overall pick in the NBA Draft just a few seasons ago, but he is just 21 and has a skill-set that suggests he could be molded into at least a rotation player at the power forward or center positions. The Bucks went for known, established commodities with most of their other free agency signings this summer, but Bender provides the Bucks with another low-risk, but potentially high-upside option.
