Milwaukee Bucks: Early standout dates from 2019-20 NBA schedule
January 8 – at Golden State Warriors
It will be a bit of a different visit when the Bucks make their lone stop to the Bay Area on Wednesday, January 8 against last year’s runner-up, the Golden State Warriors.
For starters, this will mark the first time the Bucks visit the Warriors’ new digs as they have moved back to San Francisco to play at the new Chase Center after previously calling Oakland their home at Oracle Arena.
The changes don’t stop there as the Warriors are mired in a rebuild following the departure of superstar Kevin Durant as well as the injury-related loss of All-Star sharpshooter, Klay Thompson. While those two key losses will affect their chances of competing for a title next year, they’ll embark on some kind of backcourt experiment with the high-profile addition of D’Angelo Russell.
Time will only tell whether that will be a fruitful partnership, but the Bucks will look to continue their recent success of winning on the road within the Warriors’ new fortress.
