7. George Hill – 2K20 Rating: 75

There was certainly a sense that George Hill may have transitioned into the post-prime section of his career during the latter days of his spell with the Cleveland Cavaliers, but he bounced back in a major way to dispel that myth with a starring turn for the Bucks in the playoffs.

With that in mind, Hill starting NBA 2K20 with a lowly overall rating of 75 just seems off. He may have finished 2K19 as a 74, but given his early season peak was a 76, a return to at least that kind of status would have seemed warranted by his postseason output.

Hill has even more reason to feel hard done by when his rating is compared to some of the point guards ranked above him in the game. Hill coming in with the same rating as Kris Dunn, behind the likes of Jalen Brunson, Emmanuel Mudiay, Rajon Rondo, and Isaiah Thomas at 76, and even a rookie such as Darius Garland at 77 seems a little absurd.

Hill will be a crucial cog of the Bucks’ team this season, likely logging close to starter level minutes at times, and being Milwaukee’s most obvious go-to as a Sixth Man. At the very least, that will give him every opportunity to get this particular ratings injustice addressed.
